René Lalique was enthralled by his observation of the natural world. His interest gave rise to some extraordinarily evocative and intriguing creations, as he reflected on and reinvented what he saw. No species of plant or animal was unworthy of his attention. Sometimes stylized, sometimes realistic, to this day nature is a source of inspiration to Lalique.
