The Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi invites us to reflect on the beauty of everyday objects, and the perfection in nature's tiny perfections. It can be seen at work in the natural raw silk we used for this collection, woven in a Vietnamese village. The soft greys and celadon blue of the linen and the silk’s natural tones make for a very peaceful and contemporary table. The placemats and runners are in silk, with hand-embroidery on the Italian-linen napkins that mirrors the silk weave.
