Alashan

For over 20 years here at Alashan Cashmere Company, has created beautiful and timelessly elegant cashmere pieces. Donald Fox's cashmere journey as the president and owner of Alashan began in 1993.  He began by working for a third-generation fiber processing merchant from Woonsocket, RI. There, he  immediately fell in love with cashmere.  As an early “cashmere apprentice” he immersed myself in every aspect of the business—from procuring and processing raw cashmere, working directly with herdsmen and fiber traders. He learned about fiber dying characteristics and how to achieve the best color vibrancy and kept with new and old techniques by touring mills in the USA, Europe, Japan and Korea.  Elegant and refined the Alashan creations continue to reflect this delicate balance between traditional know how and perpetual innovation. Beautiful and ever so soft these pieces make wonderful additions to any home and they also make for wonderful gifts!
