All returns must be pre-approved. To initiate a return authorization please call us at 561-655-8288 or email us at web@marymahoney.com.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be sent back in original condition in original packaging and boxed with sufficient packaging materials to prohibit breakage in transit. Items must be insured for full value through the carrier.

Please provide the return authorization form, packing slip and/or sales receipt with the item(s) you are returning.

Registry

With a Mary Mahoney Registry you will receive notifications for each gift, and accumulate their credit value in a Registry Account. You are welcome to spend that credit on any merchandise from our store at any time.

You can create your Mary Mahoney registry online in just a few clicks or come and visit us at our store on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach to set it up in store.

Day or night, your guests will be able to shop from your online registry. Please note that all online orders will solely be processed as credit onto your registry account.  Guests who would like to have a gift sent instead can place their order by phone or by coming into our store.

The privacy setting on your registry is up to you. Our registry inherently has two different privacy settings. It can either be public and searchable or private, in which case it is only accessible to friends and family with whom you have decided to share your registry link.

When you are ready to decide on how to spend your Gift Registry Credit you can shop online with a gift card value of the amount you wish to redeem or simply call and set up a redemption appointment in our store. In order for us to best prepare in store  appointments, we ask that you schedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. We also suggest you take an inventory of any physical gifts you may have received that will affect your redemption. Please note that prices and availability of items are subject to change without notice as we subject to frequent price increases from our vendors.

Any items you choose to purchase with you registry credit will be priced at their current selling prices.

Please note that while some of your final selections may be in stock and ready for you to take home, in most cases, we will need to order your selections and have them sent to you. Due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate order pick-ups here in the store and must ask that you provide a shipping address.

We strives to ensure that every item on your registry will be available when you need it. However, the ultimate availability of items rests with the manufacturers. Should you receive a Registry Account purchase  for an item that the manufacturer can no longer deliver, the value of the letter will be applied to the purchase of a suitable replacement. We regret that a cash refund of the value of the discontinued item is not available.

We provide complimentary ground shipping in the lower 48 states.

If your shipping address is international, we will settle on the shipping charge together. It will be defined based on the value of your items, as well as the quantities and frequencies of shipments.

Any money left over will remain as store credit on your account. The credit has no expiration date and can be used for anything in our store. Unfortunately, we do not issue cash refunds under any circumstances.

Whether you decide to redeem what was gifted or prefer the flexibility to select something new that is entirely up to you. Please feel free to contact our team and we will help you redesign your registry to your liking. Please note that should you choose to use the value of a Gift to make a new selection, all prices will be based on the current selling price of the item you were initially gifted.

Your registry credit has no expiration date!

Use and Care

(As recommended by our friends at Bernardaud)

Most porcelain items are dishwasher and microwave safe.

  • By hand
    • We recommend hand washing larger pieces, hand painted collections, or items with gold or platinum decoration.
    • Hand-wash your dinnerware using the soft side of a scrub sponge and regular dishwashing liquid.
    • Never use the abrasive side of the sponge, which might scratch or damage the surface of the decoration, especially gold or platinum.
  • In the dishwasher
    • Select a low-temperature program and do not exceed the recommended amount of detergent.
    • Use a non abrasive and non acidic detergent
    • Take care when arranging the items in the dishwasher, chips and cracks occur often at this stage.
    • Open the dishwasher once the wash cycle is over to allow the steam to escape and prevent condensation from forming.

Special care for gold or platinum decorated dinnerware

  • Faience pieces or dinnerware collections with metal-based decorations, including gold and platinum, may not be placed in a microwave oven .
  • If your gold or platinum decorated service is not used regularly or if it is stored in a damp room, the gold or platinum may tarnish. The metal may also develop a patina from being rubbed by cutlery. In this case, simply polish it with a soft cloth and a few drops of a solution used for silverware maintenance.

(As recommended by our friends at Baccarat)

  • By hand
    • Wash your glasses individually using warm water, gentle dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge or washcloth.
    • After washing, rinse interior of glass first, then tilt glass downwards and rinse under the faucet ending with the foot.
  • In the dishwasher
    • Set your dish washer on a gentle cycle at a maximum temperature of 104°F. Washing at too high a temperature runs the risk of producing a chemical reaction that will stain the crystal and give it a milky appearance.
    • Use gentle dish soap
    • Do not use detergent
Decanters
  • Hand wash in warm water with a soft sponge and gentle dish soap.
  • It is best not to leave wine in the decanters and to rinse them immediately after use.
  • Store your decanters without the stopper in place to allow for airing. To absorb any remaining moisture, roll a sheet of paper towel into a loose tube and insert into decanter for about 10 hours.
  • If misting occurs, pour in a handful of coarse salt and a half liter of spirit vinegar. Shake vigorously and rinse several times with warm water.

(As recommended by our friends at Christofle)

Silver and Stainless Steel

  • Before your first use, hand wash you silver and stainless steel pieces in warm water with gentle dish soap.
  • By hand :
    • Never let your silverware come in contact with bleach
    • Use dish soap that does not contain chlorine
    • Dry promptly to avoid spotting
  • In the Dishwasher :
    • Use traditional, chlorine-free powders and tablets.
    • Do not use liquid or gel products, which often contain chlorine.
    • If you use a water softening product in the dishwasher, avoid washing your silverware during the first cycle.
    • Follow dishwasher instructions concerning the hardness of the water.
    • Water with a high mineral content can be corrosive.
    • Do not wash items manufactured before 1968 in a dishwasher.

(As recommended by our friends at Gayle Warwick)

  • Machine wash max 30°C / 80°F, use delicate or low spin cycle
  • Hang to dry, do not tumble dry
  • Do not use bleach, do not use optical whitening agents
  • Do not dry clean
  • Iron on reverse while damp, max 150°C / 300°F
  • Store linens in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Linens stored long term should be wrapped in cotton, muslin or acid-free paper.

Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of the printing and embroidery process, variation in print, color and embroidery details may occur

Embroidered Linens

If the item is embroidered, iron face down on a terry towel. This will allow for a crisp press of the linen without flattening the embroidery work. For items with metallic thread embroidery, wash on the Delicate cycle or wash by hand.

Removing Stains

To remove difficult stains, soak the stain before washing. If possible, treat when fresh - if they set, stains may become harder to remove.

  • Machine wash max 40°C / 105°F, use delicate or low spin cycle
  • Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry
  • Iron on reverse while damp, max 150°C / 300°F
  • Do not bleach; do not use optical whitening detergents

Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of the printing and embroidery process, variation in print, color and embroidery details may occur

  • Wipe with damp cloth and mild soap
  • Do not rub; use a light circular motion working towards centre of the stain
  • Dry immediately with a soft cloth
