The story of Ginori begins in 1735. At the time, inspired by his passion for white gold, the Marquis Carlo Andrea Ginori opened a porcelain factory which was destined to become a worldwide icon of style. 

Throughout the decades, the company has relied on the experience of the greatest Italian designers of the time: Franco Albini, Franca Helg, Antonio Piva, Achille Castiglioni, Gabriele Devecchi, Angelo Mangiarotti, Aldo Rossi… Able to combine craftsmanship, creativity and attention to progress, Ginori 1735 is internationally recognized as an expression of Italian excellence.

Granduca Coreana brings a cheerful floral design to the Antico Doccia shape. Hand-crafted and hand-decorated in Italy, this collection is one of luxurious charm. 

The collection's flowers were inspired by flowers adorning Japanese and Chinese Imperial Kimono decorations. The delicate composition of each piece of this service draws from flower decoupages of Florentine noblewoman, who were themselves inspired by Japanese and Chinese Imperial Kimono decorations. The absolute protagonist of this design is the peony (Mudan). A symbolic flower in Asian iconography, it is said to represent love, beauty, health, honor and happiness.
