A historic service from the Royal Sèvres Manufactory, delivered to King Louis XV in 1757 for his beloved Fontainebleau residence. Originally designed as the King's everyday table settings, these magnificent pieces showcase the artistry and craftsmanship of 18th-century French porcelain.

Each plate features a delicate scalloped rim adorned with fine gold banding and hand-painted garlands of roses in the rare and prized "cameoed carmine"—a distinctive deep fuchsia tone found only in royal commissions. Gilded Louis XV-style scrolls accent the design, while four monograms in deep fuchsia and gold radiate from the center in a regal star pattern, underscoring the service's noble heritage.

The prominence of gold and the rarity of the carmine pigment justified the service's elevated cost and production, reflecting its status as a royal table setting. Many original pieces from this extraordinary collection remain preserved at the Fontainebleau château, testament to its enduring legacy and timeless elegance.
