Designed by Hans Harald Roth for the Metropolitan Opera in New York. The chandeliers were a gift from the Republic of Austria to the United States in gratitude for the aid delivered in the European Recovery Program. The inspiration behind the design was pictures of distant galaxies, selected by the architect of the Met, Edwar K. Harrison. Brass, Swarovski and Hand Cut Crystal. Metal parts in different finishes, sputnik elements in different colors and elliptical layout upon request.
